John F. Nicoll has kicked off 2012 with 2 strong parade performances - in Baltimore, MD on 3/11/12 and in York, PA on 3/17/12. The band is rolling out a new marching drill that seems to be getting some great reviews from the crowds! One more St. Patrick's Day parade in Harrisburg, PA on 3/24/12 - stay tuned for pictures!
The band congratulates drummer Kody Silverman, who made his debut on the tenor drum at the first parade of the year! His hard work and dedication has really paid off and he's become a strong member of our successful drum section.

It was with heavy hearts that the pipers and drummers of the John F. Nicoll Pipe Band said goodbye to Pipe Sergeant and friend Fred Ptaschek. Fred's strong leadership and unwavering loyalty will be missed by all. The thoughts and prayers of the band are with Fred's family throughout this difficult time.

The John F. Nicoll Pipe Band mourns the loss of long-time Colour Party member, Bob Petry, who passed away on 19 March. Bob's cheerful attitude and friendship will be missed by all and the thoughts and prayers of the band are with Bob's family at this difficult time.

A new year means lots of positive changes for the John F. Nicoll band! We congratulate drummer Tom O'Hara for his promotion to Lance Corporal. His hard work and dedication to the success of the drum corps is very much appreciated!
The band extends its warmest regards to our recently retired Drum Major, Charlie Palmore, for his many years of successful service to the band.
The 2011 schedule has been added to the site and we look forward to the parades and shows this year.
As a reminder, pipe and drum lessons are ongoing and free! New recruits are always welcome!
